Upcoming Change in Website Maintenance Policy

  • August 1, 2012 by
Dear Kosmos Customers,

This notice is to inform you of some changes that are being made to the structure of our website maintenance plans, and what these plans cover, in order to provide you with better service.

Beginning August 20th, 2012, hours purchased in website maintenance plans will be applicable toward any of the services listed below. Any additional services, or custom development requests, will be quoted at an hourly development rate, currently $225.

The purpose of this split is twofold: Firstly, the full breadth of our services are now defined for you, our customers, to better utilize all of your available maintenance time each month.
Secondly, custom development projects will have a distinct separation from the maintenance plans, giving each project that we work on with you the attention and scope it demands, and ultimately empowering you to make more informed business decisions regarding your site.

We appreciate your continued business, and look forward to future projects with you as  we make this transition. If you have any questions about the new plans, or what is covered, feel free to give us a call at 503-977-0171.

Sincerely,
The Kosmos Team

What is a stylesheet change?
A stylesheet change is any visual change to the site, the implementation of which requires only modifying the CSS (Cascading StyleSheet) file. These can usually be described as non-structural, superficial changes to the look and feel of a site.
Below are some examples of stylesheet changes:
  • I want all of text on my site to be changed to size 12px font, green, and use Helvetica.
  • I want more space around the product images.
  • I want the images on the product list page to have a grey border around them.
  • I want a hover effect on all of the menu buttons on the top navigation.
  • I have a new button design that I want to use on my site.
  • I want to change the background image to this new gradient.
